Growing Older, Feeling Younger

Many of the experiences that make us grow are uncomfortable

Many of them are surely life-changing

Some of them are relevations

My growth experience, sure, it was painful

But it made me accept the pain

Years I walked the salt flats

Years I tripped over the same rocks

I remembered the peace I felt long ago

Always I was told to stop searching and start building

Zero did I understand

Until I stopped searching

This insightful experience happens differently to everyone

Some take a lifetime

Once again, I felt awe I once had "when I remembered the peace I felt long ago"

I must embrace life and see pain as my friend

Because I am not pain myself, I am light.
