Growing as One

The sun rises as the dew sets

Even the flowers begin to rise

Each one different, each one beautifu

Each one whispering words of encouragement to one another

Day after day of the ceaseless routine, constantly growing   together

Until winter arrives

Dependence falls to the roots

Together in beautiful differences

The days become shorter

The flowers wilt as one

When will we learn?
