Growing in Pain

As a young child,

I'm happy and carefree.

I'm becoming the person

I'm supposed to be.

As a child in school,

I see that I was wrong,

and that I don't fit in.

Please make it better.

As a young teenager,

I feel as if I'm no longer me.

My "friends" no longer care

about me or my feelings.

As a young adult,

I see I'm alone as ever.

Where do I turn

for the help you promised?
