Growing Pains

Growing Pains

She planted the seed of hope

within the roots of my new moving feet.

Mended the Earth for growth.

She waited for the epic colors of expression

and a bloom of identity.

She showed me the garden of dance.

I was taught  how to arrange

bouquets of movement.

I was told it was a gift to be shared

for my petals would wilt in time.
