Growing Pains

Everyone's experienced pain.

They've missed the train

As it pulled out of the station

During it's daily migration.

More than once.

Everyone's experienced pain.

They've witnessed someone go insane

Whether externally

Or internally.

More than once.

Everyone's experienced pain.

They've dreamed of the parallel plain

Where the people fly

As children run by.

More than once.

Everyone's experienced pain.

In all of its shapes, and all of its sizes,

But those who learn are those that remain.
