Growing Pains

Have you ever had growing pains?

It’s a constant ache deep in your veins.

When I was young I didn’t have to worry about a thing

Now I sit here with so much in my brain.

                                             Sometimes I feel like I am going insane,

But with every success, there could also be pain.

My mom always told me to be strong

and through it all, she wasn’t wrong.

The first tingle of excitement when you accomplish something is what you keep with you forever

When you succeed, don’t ever let it sever.

There will be pain but you also gain;

Through every hail or rain.

I could tell you more about growing pains;

however you might feel it in a different way.

The pain is here but not here to stay.

And if you ever get lost, let the light guide your way.
