Growing Pains
What happened to being a child.
Always being able to smile.
Not confused or controlled by the riled,
people of the digital telling me my body is they're visual.
The bigger I grow the more I'm pressured to show.
Told I'm my own temple,
but open for rental.
To be walked through and painted.
Refurbished and rated.
Self-love is my vision,
but perfection is their religion.
My safety's been broken.
My blanket they've stolen.
Can't be a child.
In their eyes, I'm growing.
