Growing Pains

Growing up doesn’t have an age

Growing up is seeing your mom hunched over

Throwing up and pulling out fallen hair

Growing up is seeing doctors prick her hands

Growing up is making difficult decisions,

You don't want to make

Growing up is giving the eulogy

Growing up is learning from mistakes

Growing up is realizing, she prepped you for this moment

Growing up, doesn’t have an age

In fact, it can happen in a blink of an eye

Growing up means to fall down time after time again

Growing up means learning from every failure

Growing up means to start a new

Growing up, to me, is taking everything you’ve learned

And making the most of it
