Growing Pains

Ready for the World/ do you really think so/ survival takes more/ so slow yo role/ when you young everything fun/ these streets will have a youngster sprung/ wit polluted lungs/ and blazin guns/ cutting school breakin rules/  down to straight act a fool/ momma told you slow it down/ but you as stubborn as a mule/ you thought you knew/ now you surprised/ to see it with yo own eyes/ all yo homies on the rise/ and times is passing you by/

Verse One

Look here, I been spittin flopws/ since back in the 5th grade/ itchin bout getting paid/ bombin like Cool J/ tenders up on the Jim bob/ Skillz up on the beat box/ in the back of the school/ blazin a kid wit heat rocks/ Junio High wasn’t nothing but a fashion show/ 8th grade, fan club/ time to mash some more/ blaze the flow/ gone head and cash the dough/ get a shorty on my tip/ gone and pass her so/ what’s next, sweet sex and a Dr. visit/ gotta tell mom and pop you done plucked a chicken/ not to mention/ ain’t got a pot to piss in/ it’s hot in the kitchen/ maybe you should stop and listen/
