Growing Pains of a Teenage Mind

Growing Pains of a Teenage Mind

Desire to be Grown Up And Simply Go Wild

Experimenting with Freedom

With Fearless Disregard

Burning Up So Easy Saving OneSelf So Hard

Desire to Bite the Apple

Ever So Strong

Blissful Ignorance of Knowing Right from Wrong

Spiralling down the Alley

Shattering all Unspoken Dreams

Unwilling to Hear My Soul's Innermost Screams

Blinded with Rage, Not Knowing Who To Blame

Imploding Inside Entire Life  Seems A Shame

Doctors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, All try their might

Desperate for Answers Death Seems Too Close to Sight

Lifting me In My Arms, Tears Rolling Down Her Eyes

Begging for a Chance My Mother Wants to Answer all Whys

Hopelessly Surrendering the Child in Me Clings to the only Hope

Life seems a distant but her hands are the only Rope

Silently and Patiently My Mother Once Again teaches me how to Walk

One step at a Time Watching Over Me Like a Hawk

"Nothing is Lost, It was Just Another Day"

Together Holding Hands let me help you find your Way

Slowly and Steadily She Helps Me Reach my Dreams and Goals

Today I am A Teenager with No Scratches in My Soul

I know now that it is allright to keep on making mistakes

Experiment with Life and Losing With High Stakes

I fearlessly reach out for my dreams, desires, and whatever that comes by me

I know that I am safe as long as my mom is right by me
