The Growing Tree

   I was a seed, small and hopeless

until one day when I saw light of the sun.

the light took my hand and told me to hold on

I held on for awhile, until one day I was watered.

I grew up into a beautiful willow tree and even then

as pretty as I was; I still did not feel pretty.

But i remembered the light saying to hold on for awhile

so I did.

Now I am paper in a book;

these words are being written on me.

Finally, I feel beautiful.
