Growing with the wind
The sun shines above your head
the clouds pass by despite the dread
The world is alive around you so why can't you be?
The bugs in the soil beneath your feet,
wriggiling, squirming trying to compete
But you, oh you, no you aren't here
not really at least, yet you still fear
the world, the people, potentialities
Preformace drives your sole mentality.
Live a life according to you.
Your living,
even if you don't think so.

Your Poem's Voice
Personal struggle with presence and performance, grounded in speaker's experience.
Multiple layered ideas: nature, dissociation, performance anxiety, existential questioning densely packed.
Mixed tone: gentle observation balanced against anxiety, dread, and fear; redemptive ending.
Moderate intensity with active verbs (wriggling, squirming, driving) but contemplative pacing overall.
Approximately 11 lines; falls in 7-15 line range.
Personification, metaphor (bugs competing, world alive), metaphorical use of presence/absence.
Pure lyric internal voice addressing personal disconnection and mental state directly.
