Grown Up

I still get excited over little things,

like chocolate,

rollercoasters,

and stuffed animals.

I have trouble paying bills,

making phone calls,

and staying focused.

I don't feel like I've grown up.

But I've stopped being a kid.

I've seen too much,

heard too many words,

stood my own ground.

I don't think it was one defining moment that changed me.

But,

I still do eveything I can,

to keep believing.

Even though I'm more mature,

and now have responsibilites,

ever since I stepped into the world,

I've known I'll never fully grow up.

But I don't think anyone ever does.

Not really.
