Grown

many experience pain

many experience agony

many of us stay sane

but some turn to insanity.

while i stand in admiration

of your trust in others

I'd need a better relation

like that of lovers.

my sense of feeling is oppressed

while you stand elated

maybe I'm in need of rest

of maybe I've been deflated.

many a time i believe in this

and many a time i don't

depression was like a silent hiss

while happiness became a groan.

i began to see light

and i began to feel

i put up a fight

and saw what was real.

so much in this world is to be loved

and so many people here

if everybody continued to rush

you'd hold no one dear.

in the end you've nothing to fear

everyone you love is near.
