Grown up but not fully grown
I am not tall like a tree, but we have many things in common.
My body had stopped growing at 4'11, but my mind continues to grow like the branches on the trees in spring.
As I watched tree branches crack in the winter, I knew that only time could mend what used to be.
Similar to the trees, I broke too.
When spring came I grew my leaves and was grander than the previous seasons.
The trees provide air to those in need.
I provide guidance to those in need.
The trees provide food.
I provide food for my mother when she is sick.
The trees protect many from the potential harm from the sunshine.
I protect my friends and family from harm that occurs throughout society.
The trees provide an unmatched tune and they sway in the wind.
I provide an unexplainable sound of happiness as I laugh.
I am not tall like a tree.
But I have grown into a more kind, generous, and happy young lady.
I have enjoyed watching the trees grow in the spring as I have enjoyed growing into a more positive person.
I am thankful for each season that has come and gone, but I look forward to seeing how I grow next.
