Growth
Darkness. Running, running on broken bone.
Escape the monsters, ignore all the pains.
Ghouls of humanity, all she’s e’er known,
To redeem her as past, her heart’s remains.
Cloaked in her closet, appearing in dark,
No more. She has grown. She’s gotten away,
Though she cannot erase her past love’s mark,
She is no longer being led astray.
Her wounds no longer raw, but sweetly kissed,
By a love that doesn’t haunt her by night.
She has gotten everything she’d missed
And more, her heart, abounding with delight.
Even through the pain when love did the crime,
She sees: True love will stand the test of time.
