Growth

 Sink or swim,

that was probably something I learned back in school.

no swimming involved just listening.

Growing up and moving on up

the hardest thing I had to learn how to do was to swim.

Just by simply focusing and even staying engaged

I still felt as if I was trapped in a cage with sudden rage

no one heard me but, I wanted to be heard

I didn’t understand and I couldn’t

but growing up I decided to move forward

no back strocking just straight moving forward

the once D’s and F’s turned into A’s and B’s

even my new teachers started to be pleased

I was moving forward now I could see

finally I realized that just by asking questions?

You could be free!
