3 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.

Growth may come

Natural affection is mostly on the rampage

It embraces want and wishes in a clear direction

It fulfills itself and builds on many feelings

Pangs of hunger to be satisfied in spite of affliction

Feelings good or better is the center of its target

Fulfillment is based on environmental perception

It dwells on the surface and it fits itself in

To circumstances presented in a selfish pretention

God wants our love to be in His control

A love that’s far above our comprehension

Only then we are able to love our enemy

And in such pay mankind much attention

He replaces the love called simply “natural”

With a better without self-determination

A love that just flows out through us

Unbridled and free in God’s destination

To love what God loves is the answer

To love others as we love ourselves

That is the call before us to set us free

And this we know so very well

To love unblemished just for God’s sake

So He can fill our hearts with Himself

That is the only way for the Holy Spirit

To move untouched by me through self
