Growth: the Prerequisite of Glow

We all must grow to glow,

And growth is dynamically required for one to mature into the person they are meant to be.

Before my injury, I felt dysfunctional.

The living room of my brain was governed by the part of me that unceasingly felt minuscule and insecure.

Only external reminders of my worth kept me caught up with time.

Physical therapy doubled as psychiatric rehabilitation.

My innate determination and drive succeeded my transitory discouragement and desolation.

Glow is not measured by height marks on a wall or by the flips of a calendar’s pages.

It is never produced, developed, nor designed.

When our reasoning is logical and our wills are free,

Our genuine souls are presented to the world and glow.
