Growth at a Price

Because we are young
We are told to be silent
We are told to concede
To enjoy our childhood while we still can

But what is our future?
Is our future a time of despair
or a time of hope

Are our dreams going to be lived out
Or do we have to risk losing them?

You don’t understand.
We can’t be silent
because we want to love

We can’t be silent
because we want to conquer our dreams

We must speak out
because we. want. to. live.

And now we are being heard
But it came at a price
