Growth of Responsibility

Joyful children play full of glee,

Pieces of plastic that previously belonged to the floor,

Are now magical weapons wielded,

By infantile knights battling

Fearsome, gruesome beasts.

The exhausted adult wears away

And tackles the critical tasks that

Are necessary

For survival,

These tasks are hugely vital

Weights that can conquer those who are

Weak.

They can devour and eat away at

The limbs of life

And the meat of art

Only a skeleton remains.

Without responsibility there would be no life

And is the mineral that constructs the bones of reality

Ignore it and hell is manifested

Embrace it and the beautiful flora of

Aptitude and progress cultivate in

The soil of your mind.

Exert the correct force against it and

Life will be okay.

Strength and resolve are tested.

It is an opportunity to prepare and

Rise to the occasion.
