Guarded

Trees:

Silent sentinels

Keeping the memories

Of a time long forgotten

Alive.

Stars:

The eyes of Heaven

Watching the wanderers

Who roam this old, weary world

Alone.

Both:

Quiet onlookers

Offering hope and

Giving strength:

Remembering the lost.

They are the guardians

                  Of peace

                  Of hope

They watch until the end.
