The Guardian

Art is my guardian Without it I would've dove deep into The fires of Hell Art saved my life My marvelous mind allows me to think up Visions of Grandeur Like a drug injected into the eye My mind wanders off in a long dream I dont blink and that dream manifests itself in my hand I go over the canvas Inch by inch and stroke by stroke Tearing through this white desert like a locomotive An insatiable juggernaut Demolishing everything in its path I paint stars, I paint waves, I paint storms I need a sketchbook and ink I need pencil and paper I need a stick with which to draw in the sand I need to escape reality My own gravity drags me down once the painting is done But I can escape tomorrow I can escape tonight in my slumber My Guardian guides my dreams and my reality
