The Guardian

She sits Watching, listening, learning Loving, laughing, crying Screaming, anguish, joy All very real Griping, gasping But not always do these belong to her. The love of a couple resonates within her The laughter of friends echoes out The year of a child come from her soul The screams of pain tear through her without mercy The anguish shakes her at night The joy fills her to the brim and break She watches, through calm and calamity She listens to every word, sound, and everything in between She learns, but never for gain Nay. With few can she indulge her own heart. She helps and loves Assists and cherishes Gets used and thrown She protects what she can knowing sometimes she can't Her flaw and mistake? She feels too deep, loves too much, laughs too hard, cries without end, screams every note, lets anguish rage through, and shines with joy She isn't who you underestimated her to be She cares more than you knew. She hates that her heart gets involved. All of this resounding as She sits.
