The Guardian

If someone is in need,

their guardian I will be.

Need a hand?

Your wish is my command.

Is everything all right?

You can tell me, do not be in fright.

This smile I wear,

is simply to let you know that I care.

However, when the tables are turned,

the flow of emotions are not returned.

Of course I am fine,

In fact I am utterly divine.

Everyday i hide behind this grin.

Is that really a sin?

What would happen if people saw their guardian weak?

I can't imagine all the pitiful things they would speak.

I would lose all my healing powers,

their admiration would flee within hours.

I can always bear this smile just one more day,

just to let someone else know everything is going to be ok.
