Guardian Angel

past traumatic events don’t leave

so easily,

the cracks in my concrete

damaged me severely

brokennesses that catches my glimpse

the darkness that swallowed like a solar eclipse

hopelessness caused the breath

of recklessness

confused and out of tune

I didn’t know what to do.

the woman who came to save me

was my mother rising

she became my Guardian Angel

told me to be strong, told me to stand tall

her words and support impacted me lifelong

the little things she did

showed me who she truly is

when things weren’t going my way

she comfort me saying it’ll be okay.

she gave me her angel wings

pushing me to fly freely

lifting me from the pain of things

that never ended so easily

she is my bestfriend that

I truly love and understand.

She’s amazing and enjoying

the mother I have is truly everlasting.

the pretty blue tides washing upon shore

she pushed me to be something more

knowing what my heart truly wants

I know what I want to do furthermore

she taught me to love myself

my heart started to melt

when the future wars came

I became prepared to proclaim

My mother is like

the morning stars in the sky.

feels like she’s watching down me

like the king that reigns over me

she’s like my guardian angel

guiding me to be the best on my journey.

she encouraged me to play sports

and to keep believing

through her supporting and dedication

I’ve improved myself individually

and continue to do the best in my abilities.

My mother has taught me

to chase for my dreams

the pure love that feels like heat

here hugs and kisses are so sweet

she’s my Guardian Angel

and she’s my everything.
