Guardian Angel

A guardian angel watching from above Used to be a man full of compassion and love One gloomy distorted night changed everything A smile on earth was lost A soul of purity risen Eyes closed for the final time A loss of a joy like no other A loss of a son, uncle, and brother A man with a heart of gentleness and care A man who is no longer physically there Left behind tears of sadness But also a sense of happiness An impactful life that was risen The Lord knew it was his time to go up high I just wish i had the chance to say goodbye Wake up one morning and everything flips Lost in a moment, everything slips No more bike rides and dances No more second chances Won't walk through the door on christmas night Already at his greatest height Wasn't ready to let him go Just wish i could let him know Know how much i cared, how much he's missed At least to know he's peaceful in bliss All i want is him by my side Tears and pain i wouldn't hide One more moment to hold his hand All i need is for us to stand Side by side a final hug So many things that he'll miss Being walked down the aisle, having my first wedded kiss Not to mention so much more Prom dress, limo, "the boy next door" Precious memories we will not make He has left us, it's now too late I guess i have to accept that he's gone Watch the sun fade at dusk or dawn Just remember he's watching from above And no matter what you have his eternal love
