Guardian Angels

I can count my guardian angels Sittin' in a row There are some I remember But I've got some I don't There's my greatgrandmother She's somethin' else She keeps me in good etiquette A lady in her eyes There's my grandfather A man, a buffalo, sometimes He keeps me in my spirit My native souls run free There's my godmother She's watched me since I was 10 She keeps me passionate To care, to share, to be, to love There's my librarian A man who'd biked all over He keeps me in my mind A book at every corner There's my great aunt She'll make even the devil smile SHe keeps me on my toes A call from her and I'll know I can feel my guardian angels Sittin' here in a row These are just some of them And they love me even now Though I didn't name them all They understand I cry And as I run this path through life They catch me when I call
