A Guide To Teaching

These plain white walls start closing in,

Your resonating voice penetrates my skin,

Your lecture daily drags on and on,

I’m trying hard to hide my yawn,

Going through the motions one by one,

We’re all so bored and want to run,

One would think you’d try to pull us in,

By grabbing our attention; make us want to listen,

You could make it enticing,

You could even write it in icing!

Make learning as fun as can be,

Your student’s D will rise to a C!

Just wait, you’ll see,

 Watch their C become a B,

And before you know it they’ll reach an A,

All your students will want to stay!

Come the end of the year there will be no cheer,

Your class will love you and hold you dear.
