Guilt
Brainwashed, psycho, stupid
Words swirl around my head
As I lay crying in bed
Who can love such a girl?
Life is all a-whirl
Tear after tear wash down my face
There’s no room in this empty place
So stuffed with anger and bitterness
My only hope is to enter the wilderness
But all I have is this pen
It should know better
My mind in its fetter
My heart is distraught
I should have fought
When all I want to do is sleep.
The gift of mercy is a curse
When all the world’s a purse.
How can I broken heart heal
When its required to broker a deal
In a one-way war?
