Guitar Poetry

As soon as I hear it, I am soothed.

The waves - invisible - enter first my ear, then my soul.

They rumble around the room, through my body; I am moved.

At first, cold and lifeless in my hand,

The smooth wood, the familiar strings become one with my fingers.

Sweet notes, a raucous melody pour out like sand.

Sorrows fade; I lose myself; troubles melt.

Music: some familiar, some new and strange flow from my heart, my mind, my life.

Creating joy, adventure, emotion; all to be felt.

Time is forgotten. I create and play.

I wind down, tension is  gone, the music has worked its magic again.

I gently put away my guitar and I turn to face the day.(poems go here)
