The guy on the other side

brown eyes as bright as a star

gazing deeply within my heart

reading me like a book

was his way of getting a closer look

he opens his heart to fill me with love

waiting ever so patienly to feel my touch

i try to fight the feelings i have

by shielding myself with another man

his heart breaks as i try to find love

while my heart crys out for his touch

as regret  starts to consume me

i look back on what we could be

sadly  it 's become a faint memory

but never will i forget how much you meant to me
