Habits Never Die

Habits Never Die

Promises.

Broken.

It's not a contract;

you can renew.

You say it once.

You break it twice.

Guilt has tainted you.

No time to lament.

It's done.

All you ask is for forgiveness.

You said you'd stop.

But temptation held strong.

It's a drug;

you're addicted.

You need help.

You know you did wrong.

All you ask is another chance,

to right the wrong.

Habits never die.

God forgive me.
