Hades & Persephone Today
Hades was always misunderstood at school.
Scary, creepy, unpredictable.
But he was just lonely.
He felt like he didn’t belong.
His brothers the most popular.
Yet him casted aside.
He never felt the joy others did
He felt as though he was encased in a death
The world was dark and gloomy around him
Anytime he talked to someone he could see the life leave their eyes
He felt drained, cold even
But then he saw her.
Persephone.
She was the youngest in his grade, new.
Always with a smile on her face.
A smile he didn’t want to ruin.
He couldn’t find a way to talk to her.
One day he grabbed her
When they talked her eyes shone the same as they always did
She had life in her, one he didn’t see too often in people.
She wasn’t afraid of him
She was curious and wanted to know more.
Her mother didn’t approve of him, but he knew she wouldn’t
He was trouble for Persephone, innocent, bubbly, and full of life.
He hoped to not ruin it.
