Half of My Heart

Everything I do, my thoughts return to you

Every hour I spend away, makes my life dark for days.

You have half of me and I have half of you

My friend, companion for years past, and yet to come.

Different we may be, similar hearts have we.

I listen to your days even from miles away

I watch for signs of stumbles just in case you fall

You stand by me in everything I do

Just like I stand by you

Good and bad, happy or sad I never lose you

Though we are not bond together through blood the same

I will always come when you call my name.

For you are not just a friend to me

You are a sister I choose for me.

We fight and have those days

Grown apart yet forever you are part of my heart

My friend, sister, my Other Heart
