Half Past

half past midnight

staring at the wall, my thoughts expanded

out out out inward

never stopping in any one universe i've created

too busy trying so hard

trying for understanding

of

of

of what i forgot

yet i keep trying to understand something

perhaps its myself

me in all my glory

me all contained by a thin crumpled paper of grey matter

me writing on the paper over and over again

over loud thoughts never shouted and quiet ideas never whispered

half past midnight

cursed to a brain

that doesn't turn off
