Half-witted

This used to be so easy

But not so much today

I'm having all sorts of trouble

Finding what to say

If you think you can do better

Then just be my guest

Write your little heart out

I need to practice, I confess

The trash holds many others

That did't make the cut

I can't write like I used to

Right now my mind is shut

Sometimes my mind moves faster

Than the ink flows from this pen

Maybe I'm getting lucky

Perhaps we'll just pretend
