Hallucinations of Better Times

From the reality of life,

there are veils of illusions.

seemingly helpless as we crawl through the curtains.

Step by step

turns into

tred by tred.

Each and everyday, we fight for what we earn.

A noble gesture, waiting upon

by ash and manpower,

as we fight through all.

Hard times are inevitable,

yet silver linings assure.

Pressure our way past societal norms,

be the first to achieve far more than

what they call

better times.
