Halo

Walking around the house today, Noticed you weren’t around to play, The house is empty when you’re gone, No more sprints on the lawn. Since you’ve gone I’ve cried and cried, The tears on my cheeks have not dried, I know you’ve gone to a better place, It still doesn’t fix the empty space. I miss your eyes, I hate goodbye’s, I find it hard to breathe, Why did you have to leave? But then I think about where you are, Knowing that your in my heart, not far, Though you were with me for a short time, I donate this writing to you with a rhyme. Mahrie was Stu’s baby girl, Filling her mommies world with thrill, And though she’s not there in front of you, Her love for you is never through. I wrote this poem for Mahrie and Stu, There love for each other is forever true, No matter what happens tomorrow or today, Stu’s heart is where you will forever lay.
