Hamlet in Life

To see or not to see, that is the question:

Whether ‘tis nobler for a man to react

The difficulties of life compels him to

Or to turn your cheek away from the trouble;

And by not reacting? To ignore; to leave

No more. By fighting we end the turmoil

The battle is won but what is of the war?

That war; what’s the life of a man worth to it?

Devoutly, the worth of a man is small.

Devoutly, the word of a man is slim.

For in that word, what lies will pass the lips

When he suffers the wrath of god, he’s condemned.

Must he pause from a reaction

That makes an action seem less important?

For who decides what is less important

The oppressor, is he the important one?

Is he the tyrant that controls your life?

No freedom; that is the time to react

Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness

Freedoms deserved by all and fought by some.

To risk these freedoms is to not react.

React, protect, fight, for a chance to live,

But the fight to live may be your demise

Though when not to react is tough as well.

No traveler returns from a voyage

When they stop at every destination.

It is important to choose your battles

So then you will still be able to live.

Thus conscience does make it hard to control

And thus my actions will be as so, oh

How I wish my actions would succeed my thoughts.
