A Handmaid’s Tale

A Handmaid’s Tale

The one who sews your fate.

Her whip stitch forms your spine;

Her embroidery creates your every beauty mark;

Her handpicked silk makes your skin the lavish

quality it has always been.

Yet it is expectations that stress your hems-

Your seems barely holding together your

mind and body as sanity loses its grip on the lace trim.
