Hands

You promised that you’d catch me You’d never let me fall You said you’d hold me and never let go You’d be there through it all You lied You slipped I was torn from my world of bliss Tumbling through the sky I hit the ground It hurt I broke I cried The pain kept me still I couldn’t move, couldn’t rise And then hands appeared So many hands Hands of healing Hands of love Hands of my family My friends My Savior above Hands piece me together One stitch at a time Hands lift me up And they help me to fly Hands you said would be there I guess you didn’t lie You knew they’d be there They were there the whole time
