Hands

Hands everywhere but where they’re supposed to be

Hearts everywhere but in chests

Clothes everywhere but on

We had planned everything out

Neither of us caring

Both willing to sacrifice our morals to feel good

Friends with benefits was a good idea

We weren’t a relationship

We just wanted sex on the side

No strings attached

Just friends wanting to feel something besides nothing

It seemed like a good idea until he got morals

Until he started to care

Until he realized that he actually wanted to save me

Save the girl with the emotional scars

Save the girl with with the broken heart

Save the girl from parts of herself

I wanted a devil’s advocate

Someone to fool around with

I wanted to lose myself in the process

Because our hands were everywhere

But

Where

They

Were

Supposed  to

Be
