Hands and Snakes
His hands slither smoothly
evil, slick, pale snakes
glimmering in florescent lights
his ring, I wore it
once
a different lifetime
another me
he has no power here
I've grown too strong
I will not fall back
into those devil arms
those hands of snakes
I have grown too strong
too strong
I will not, I cannot fall
the white powder
coating his snakelike hands
mine shake
the desire
for the powder, the needles, the pain
for his hands
the cursed embrace
pleasures of the damned
his lips whisper
words I don't hear
over the scream of the powder
the lust for the high
for the fall
into his devil arms
his hands of snakes
