The Hand's Deceit

Her slender figure always appears to be at ease

but her hands give her away.

Her hands shake

Her thoughts wander

And her heart races

to the point of exhaustion

She wills herself to be calm

She takes deep breathes

She is overcome with peace

She enjoys the sense of isolation

She keeps herself occupied,

in a failed attempt to lose track of time.
