Hang On

Barely holding on, my wavering breath. The screaming and slamming of doors, I cover my ears to turn them into muffles. I'm tired. Arguing. Meaningless words. They don't care that I hear. The four walls are still built up around us, but everything inside is gradually collapsing. The slower it falls, the more pain it causes. But I've still got to hold on, I refuse to take my last breath.
