Happily Ever After

Once upon a time is one of the oldest lies

Filled with love stories giving young girls butterfiles

Sleeping Beauty can only awake to true loves kiss

Cinderella meets her prince by disobeying a mistress

Snow White was being hunted for her beauty

Rapunzel's mother locked her up leaving her lonely and moody

All these stories were filled with hate

but no one cared because of the princess' fate

We all knew they would find a prince

And have lived happily ever after ever since

But for humans it's not the same

We only hope a prince will call our name

Instead we watch as they stroll by

and wonder how to be noticed by any guy

We hope to be cinderella, sleeping Beauty, rapunsel or snow white

Because we grew up watching and thinking we might
