Happily Ever After

Once upon a time

A girl was sitting on the bench

A boy was lying in his bed

Both wishing the same

Wishing for a happy life

Wishing for the better half

Hoping they weren’t crazy

Hoping they weren’t wrong

Sick of all the fights

Sick of all the screaming

Wishing there was a Neverland

Wishing for their innocence

Kids shouldn’t grow up

They shouldn’t see these things

Worry about these things

Have their childhood disappear

Happily Ever After is a lie

No one knows why
