Happily Never After

The blushing bride

Has a quiet beauty about her

And such sad eyes

Walking down the aisle

She looks so happy, so confident

Even though to her, every step feels like a mile

Hand in hand with her groom

They smile at each other, but they are fake smiles

They are married at high noon

They go home, the ride is so quiet

They both think they could finally be happy

Although they both don’t buy it

Sitting together quietly, the silence pushes itself upon them

They are starting together anew

Finally, they have been together since back then

Horrible images both flash across their mind

They both look at each other and wince

Their emotions, both mimed

They both embrace each other,

Embrace with such kindness

He whispers and tells her that he loves her

This is there happily never after
