HAPPILY SAD
I am a hard place
Calloused by the sun
And the uncertainties of a temporary existence threatens the idea of a temporary existence
Here in this patch of sunflowers that feed from the life of the sun
I am nothing but a moment in time
A memory to my loved ones
A warning to the daughters and sons of the village
A traumatising tale from mothers to their childrento not follow my path
They tell them to live happily not to end up like me
But they don't know how happy i once was
But here i am now
Bloodied and bruised
By the cruel and fateful hand of fate coupled with life
Do i regret it?
At times, i ask myself where i would have been? but here we are
So i live in now
And here in this yellow patch of sunflowers
Spread vastly on the countryside next to my stone
I am happy
And content for the view
Not even my youth could preview
And at peace
Both literally and figuratively
